When I got to AA I heard the bit about when you point a finger at someone you have three pointing back at you. I didn't think much of it. After a couple of years sober I had a period of about two weeks, where repeatedly I would get angry over something someone else did and then within 48 hours I would recognize that same "shortcoming" in myself.

And as you said, it continues on. I am getting better (after another ten years) of thinking about whether I'm like that too before pointing fingers, but fingers still get pointed, and I still have to look at myself doing the same thing - and it does suck.


I have been reading and identifying with this blog for months now and finding it a great source of learning and guidance.
I had a very similar experience yesterday, being very intolerant and judge mental with a friend's actions and reactions, maybe because I would act the same if I wasn't being mindful.
And also, learning how to 'stay out of the cage' and how to keep the boundaries I make.

The last bit...man...was just sitting here thinking that I needed to do some work.

Which led me here....
