if you don't share, how can people identify?
how can people help?
how can you help other people?
let go of that tired fear about what other people will think of you and speak up.
share your experience and your truth -- you're the only you we've got, and it may be the way you put something that finally helps someone "get it."
(not to mention the way you put something when you share might help you finally "get" a few things too.)
Good advice. It took me a little while to get there.

Thanks for the reminder. I still have days when I would rather share what I wish my experience and truth is vs. what my experience and truth REALLY is. I've shared some things lately (in a general way) that have definitely caused the "some are sicker than others" look. LOL. It is what it is.

It's all right there in the preamble... I like to think of the preamble as the answers to a set of questions: 1. what is AA? AA is a fellowship of men and women. 2. What do you do? We SHARE our experience, strength and hope with each other. 3. Why? So that we can stay sober and help another alcoholic achieve sobriety.
