I like As Bill Sees It and have it on my night stand. He could really turn a word.

Yes, Bill's personal story is remarkable not just for his drinking, but his journey in sobriety. He was a difficult figure in his own way, but always worked hard to both fulfill his responsibility as "co-founder" and also to just be a "regular AA." Susan Cheever's biography of him is moving, readable and excellent. The more I've learned about him the more I admire him -- and I especially appreciate "As Bill Sees It" for its mix of his writings and passages from the BB and the 12/12.
